The bonused airtime is what would otherwise be unsold– which means that other advertisers didn’t want to buy those time slots–mostly in overnights or daytime programming. The branding packages are usually $2,500-$4,000 per month with a 6 to 12-month commitment. The cost of video production is included in the package but if you wanted to run that commercial on another station, you’d have to buy it from the one that made it.
