Here at Edit House, we are always striving to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to developments in the video production industry. In 2007, we set the HD standard in the state of New Mexico. We were the first Albuquerque video production company in the state to produce in high definition video! Before HD was even available to viewers, we worked with local television stations to develop the HD compression standards that are still in use today. But we didn’t stop there. We continue to look toward the future and anticipate shifts in the video industry.
In late 2015, after months of extensive research, we purchased two new video cameras, capable of shooting in HD, 2k and 4k resolutions. HD video, although a vast improvement over standard definition, only captures 1920 x 1080 pixels in the frame. In contrast, 4K captures 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, effectively doubling the frame size of regular HD footage. By capturing twice as much video information, 4K allows us to produce video with superior color, depth of field, and image quality. Squeezing twice as many pixels into the same size frame means our videos come out clearer, crisper and more captivating.
